At Buddy Sweets Coffee, every bag is freshly roasted to order, packed with care, and shipped directly from our roasting partner, Temecula Coffee Roasters (TCR). Because each order is custom-created just for you, our shipping timelines follow TCR’s production workflow and are designed to deliver the freshest possible coffee while setting clear, realistic expectations.

This policy explains how and when your order ships, what to expect with tracking, and how local pickup/delivery works.

🚚 How Our Shipping Process Works

Every coffee order is roasted after you place it — never before. This supports freshness and avoids warehouse-stored products. TCR follows a demand-driven roasting system, which includes:

Processing Time

  • 3–5 business days to roast, pack, and prepare your order (longer during holidays).

  • Orders with missing or unassigned labels cannot ship until corrected.

Shipping Time

Once shipped, delivery typically takes:

  • 1–5 business days within the U.S.

Tracking Notes

  • Your package may display “Pre-Shipment” for 1–3 days — this is normal and reflects roasting and roasting-queue timing.

  • Expedited shipping is not available, as roasting cannot be accelerated without compromising quality.

How Orders Are Shipped

TCR chooses the safest and most efficient method based on order size:

  • 1 bag → USPS First Class

  • 2–8 bags → USPS Priority Mail

  • 9+ items → UPS Ground

Delivery availability and fees will be shown at checkout.

📦 Package Theft & Delivery Responsibility

We follow the carrier responsibility guidelines established by our roaster. Once a package is marked Delivered by USPS or UPS:

  • Responsibility transfers to the recipient.

  • Stolen or missing-after-delivery packages are not automatically refundable or replaceable.

  • The carrier is responsible until the moment the package is scanned as “Delivered.”

All replacement decisions for lost/stolen packages are governed by our Refunds & Returns Policy.

✏️ Freshness Language (FDA-Compliant)

In alignment with TCR and FDA labeling guidance, we avoid time-specific freshness claims and instead use compliant language such as:

  • “Small batch roasted throughout the week for peak flavor and consistency.”

  • “Roasted in frequent small batches based on demand.”

These statements keep us compliant with FDA/FTC guidelines and reflect the true roasting process behind every bag.

🌍 International Shipping

International shipping is currently unavailable while we finalize reliable shipping rates and carrier options with TCR.
This may become available in the future.

🔄 Order Changes

If you need to modify your order:

  • Contact us immediately.

  • Once an order is fulfilled or roasting has begun, changes cannot be made.

  • Edits made in your online account do not update the active TCR order — the two systems are separate.

Please refer to our Refunds & Returns Policy, which is based on TCR’s official return and replacement guidelines.

We never ask customers to return coffee, and we handle every issue in the fairest, most customer-friendly way possible — keeping tails wagging all around.
